I almost died today, ya'll. Have never been more scared in my life. Was trying to save my cat from a tree and stepped in to an underground wasp nest and got stung 1 time on the back of my calf.

Didn't give it a second thought as I get stings and only swell a tiny bit and no other symptoms.

Well, this time it was way different. Within 10 minutes my lips and eyes were swelling, breathing got hard, severe stomach pain. By the time I called 911 I could barely speak but luckily I was able to and an ambulance came and started oxygen and epinephrine injections immediately and loaded me up the ambulance.

It took forever for them to get here and to get me to the hospital because I'm out in the middle of nowhere. I was at fainting point when the showed up but the epinephrine helped let me breathe on the way there.

Got to the ER and immediately got 2 IVs going, one in my elbow and one in my shoulder (after them blowing out 5 different veins trying to hit one.) They started pumping me with benadryl, pepcid, and prednisone.

I started having the worse severe pain in my life in my stomach and v0miting every couple of seconds and that caused me to hyperventilate so they dosed me a pretty high dose of morphine which caused me to pass out which is probably a very good thing.

When I woke up the doctor said if I would have waited any longer to call the ambulance the results could have been very bad. When I arrived my bl00d pressure was below 80 and the doctor told me I was in anaphylaxis shock and I got there just in time before it got really bad.

So yep, scariest day of my life and now I'm going to be deathly afraid of wasps. I've never had this happen before, like WTF.
