When I was a little girl, my grandmother often took me to the forest for berries. I picked berries, sometimes we found mushrooms or herbs and she patiently explained to me what kind of plant, berry or mushroom it was, told me what benefits or harm it could bring.
I am now an adult and I rarely go to the forest to collect something - only for fun. But I still have a love for nature and its gifts, I know the names of many herbs, I love herbal teas and what is made from herbs.
I guess that's why many girls from Eastern Europe feel like magicians :D
