Added 2021-07-28 16:46:12 +0000 UTCtoday i’m going for a long walk in a place i used to spend a lot of time. i haven’t been back in over one and a half years because of the pandemic, and i’m so happy that i can finally be back and visiting now. so many memories that haven’t been recalled in years are coming back to mind while i’m here. memory is so fascinating to me and i hope that i can keep my mind strong so that i can keep experiences alive in my thoughts as i get older. i tend to feel like my memory sucks and that really scares me. especially because alzheimer’s runs in my family, one of my biggest fears is forgetting parts of my life or people in my life, or watching people i love forget these things. i’m considering going further with studies in cognition and memory when i go back to school someday. i loved it so much when i was an undergrad, it’s right up there with my passion for “abnormal psych”/“mental illness”. it would be sweet to participate in some sort of cognitive research. anyways… if you like posts like this, sort of blog-post style i guess?, let me know? it can be fun to write when i’m feeling it, and if it resonates or interests anyone on here, that could be something i do more of. 💓
